	Brian had an affinity for drawing from a young age. His ideas and inspiration comes from the play of sunlight within a scene, sometimes the light can be intense, sometimes dappled. He is intrigued by the way light can completely transform and change the same scene from morning to midday to afternoon. Brushwork is important to Brian, he likes to express his character through the texture of the paint on the canvas, this is beautifully complimented by his strong pallet of vibrant colours and his loose impressionistic style. Colour balance is so important in Brian’s work; it helps to recapture the atmosphere of life in the relaxed sun kissed streets on the continent; evoking blissful memories of tranquil times.
